Urgent help please

I've got an ipad mini and my son has managed to enter the passcode on it wrong to many times now i'm locked out
and silly me hasn't made a back up atall and never connected to itunes

Is there a way to get the pictures and videos off by using some software

But doesn't it say to wait X minutes and try again?
