I have a 13" uMBP from Summer 2009. Just today the screen would freeze and would get progressively brighter. Othertimes I could see lines in the center of the screen. And from what I understand, the actual OS isn't slowing, but rather the screen is delayed. For example, if it freezes, and I move the trackpad, the mouse stays in place, but if I hit "click" 2-3 times, it updates and the position of where the mouse was shows up.

And the odd part is that when this happens, I move the trackpad (and the mouse doesn't move on the screen), and I push the screen with force/my finger, it shows where the mouse was moved. Again, the main problem is the screen getting extremely bright/fuzzy and the fact that the screen "reacts" when I push it. I can type something and it is typed, but not shown on the screen. What could be the problem?

Take a screenshot of the lines or fuzziness. That should determine if it's the screen or other hardware.
