Earlier, I was trying to present to my class a video on google meet using Safari. My students said that they can see the video but they cannot hear it. I tried using Google chrome with my other class and it did work, they can see and hear the video. What do I need to do to use Safari when presenting a video on google meet? Thanks.

Open the google meets website in Safari. Then open Preferences from the Safari menu. Click on the Websites tab. Then scroll down to Microphone. You should see Google and any other open website listed under Microphone. Change the drop down option next to the website you want to Allow. Then you can close the Preferences window.

I did that but I still cannot hear the audio of my presentation. I also tried to restart my MacBook multiple times but the issue still persists. Here's the screenshot of the Websites tab.
A bunch of other people have this question too it seems. I'd say just use Google Chrome for now since Google Chrome worked for your other class.

You can try digging through your Privacy Settings in System Preferences. Maybe you're accidentally blocking Safari from Microphone access.
