My screen started showing the dreaded vertical lines across the bottom last night. Im taking it back to the shop today. Thing is, it's not visible right now! I managed to get some photos of it last night with the about this Mac screen up. I bought it a week ago today. Will I be able to get a DOA swap using the photos as evidence?

Please reply quickly, I'm leaving for the shop in half an hour!

They will replace it or refund it no questions asked only when it's within the first 14 days of purchase so you should have no problems returning it.

Since they don't have a fix for it, make sure you get it replaced. Not all MBPs have those lines. Mine did and I returned it to amazon and bought a new one. This one, after 2 1/2 months hasn't show any lines.

You are correct. Make sure you got a new one. I just got my MBP replaced and this one is newly manufactured and has no problem at all.
