Hello everybody,

I just got my first Mac and I am really happy with it. Just recently I started having a problem with my QuichTime Player. The player works perfectly with videos that I play from the laptop but when I try to play a video from worldsbk.com the QuickTime player pops up with the message "URL not valid"!
I have tried playing the videos from a different computer and that works without a problem.

Unfortunately I only have a very basic knowledge when it comes to computers so I really don't know what to do to fix the problem.

Is there anybody who might be able to help me out?
I would really appreciate it....

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread; but I've found the "fix" for this (especially for the World Superbikes site, worldsbk.com)

If you haven't already (although you probably have!) install the latest version of Flip4Mac (all worldsbk.com videos are natively in Windows Media format).

Then, open "System Preferences" and find the "Flip4Mac" preference pane (it's at the bottom) on the first page ("Browser"), *un-tick* the option "Launch in QuickTime Player".

Then restart your web browser, and try and open a Video again - it should now work, and the Video should play in the worldsbk.com site's own video player (it works for me!)

I'm not sure why these videos won't play in Quicktime, but they seem to work fine in the browser-player window. This applies to many other sites too (I've found posts related to nascar.com, but haven't tried that site myself..)

Just thought I'd post this, in case anyone else ever has the same problem!

Worked for me, too.

Thank you for your advice. You saved me from absolute despair.
