I used to have Rotten Tomatoes free app and then lost my laptop. Now its not available in UK anymore. Is there a way of getting US apps in the UK with itunes without messing up all my other UK apps?

Cheers

Yes, set up a dummy account for the US store and download the apps you want. Just decline to provide your credit card details when you register as a new user. I did this to get the Google Mobile voice activated app before it came out in the UK. It works exactly the same way as for the UK store and doesn't have any effect on your existing UK apps whatsoever.

Obviously, this only works for free apps (!)
