US prisoner sues over weight loss

An overweight prisoner in the United States is suing the authorities for not feeding him enough after he lost about seven stone (45kg) in jail.

Broderick Lloyd Laswell, who is awaiting trial for murder, dropped to 22 stone (140kg) after eight months inside the Arkansas prison.

If I believe what I see on telly most overweight Americans would PAY for that amount of weight loss…

BMI = 55
Now after dropping 7 stone he is still a whopping
22 stone or 308 pounds… and still Obese Class III

(And don't tell me it was all just muscle or big bones!)

I dunno, maybe he thought it was a cunning plan to shorten his jail sentence by premature death through obesity?

Perhaps, but now he can't fit in any of his old dress suits. He will be forced to enter the courtroom in a prison jumpsuit that will prejudice the jury - making him look like a criminal.

i think they should put a lot of people in jail for this. 1) whatever judge did not throw out this frivolous case 2) whatever lawyer actually brought up the case and 3) the fat guy for being so stupid to think that losing weight is a bad thing.

an alternative solution would just be to let the porker eat himself to death. at least then he wouldnt be around to bring up frivolous lawsuits.

In an episode of Stargate SG-1, they have imprisoned this gluttonous Goa'uld, Nerus, at Area 51. They keep him from eating as much as he wants and offer him a feast when they need to get intel from him.

He hasn't gone to trial yet champ. Comdemn him once he's found guilty, before that time he's as innocent as you are and has been held in custody for 8 months.
