US shipping times for iMac?

Well, my iMac shipped on Tuesday. The last tracking update from FedEx is from 11AM Wednedsay when it left Sacremento (~48 hours ago). Since then, nothing.

I kind of expected to have it by today but if this tracking is accurate it doesn't look like that'll happen.

My iMac shipped on Wednesday evening and now is sitting in Missisauga which is around 45 minutes from my house. Waiting for it to ship to Cambridge and for them to put it on a truck and deliver it to my house.

Nice! Glad to hear it. I just wish they would update the tracking for mine sometime soon.

Yeah, they're tracking information is sketchy at best. My tracking list has stuff about Winnipeg on it when the package is at the sort dest. in Mississauga. It said stuff about that the other day as well. I really don't understand it most times, I just hope it gets here soon.
 
Mine shipped yesterday, and should be in my grubby little paws on Wednesday the 23rd. I got it shipped to where I work, so I won't even have to wait til I get home to play. 😀
 
I don't remember how many days it took exactly, but I did regular shipping and it arrived the morning apple said it would.
 
The last day they said it would or the first? Apple said mine would come between the 16th and 22nd. I find it kinda hard to believe it would take them a until next Tuesday to get it to me but who knows at this point. 😛

Mines been in Transit from 45 minutes away for the past 3 hours now 🙁

When my iPod Touch was out for delivery it left the place that's about 45 minutes away at 8:00AM and didn't get to me until about 12:30. Guess they have a lot of deliveries to make!

It doesn't get delivered from the place 45 minutes away it comes to the local fedex building and then gets put on a truck, at least thats what happened with my iPod touch.

Edit: Just got off the phone with fedex. Customs didn't clear my iMac in time or something along that lines so it won't be delivered until Monday 🙁
 
Alright, and another day goes by without the iMac and no updates on tracking...I wonder if FedEx can make the 72 hour mark without letting me know where it is.

that doesn't sound right at all. I would give fedex a call if I were you, sounds like someone else might be enjoying your imac.

Any updates on your end? I think fedex does home delivery on Saturdays and it sounded like your mac was really close. As for me, same story as yesterday. 😕
 
Hey dmkemick I'm having the same problem as you! I keep checking FedEx and no new updates at all. It said it left San Jose and got to Sacramento and left Sacramento but that's it. That was 3 days ago. No new updates at all. I wonder what's the delay with the updates...?

Yep, same here. Mine's been at "Departed FedEx location" from Sacramento, CA since Wednesday morning. The only thing I can possibly think of is that maybe they put it on a truck and it never goes through any facilities until it gets to the one closest to you? Even then it seems like people got theirs a lot quicker than this.

I live in a small town though so maybe that has something to do with it. Keep us updated xxbrankxx! It's good to know that this isn't some fluke just for me. 🙂
 
Hmm you said yours is going to a small town, mine is being shipped to Philly and am having the same luck...weird...Yeah I'll def keep ya updated on the tracking status, please do the same! 😉
 
I ordered a CTO 2.8 ghz 24" on Monday, and received it that same Friday (in Texas). I did get the 2-3 day shipping, though. The customization wasn't that involved, as I got the stock 2.8, but with a 500GB HDD.

I got the free iPod, and Fusion on Wednesday, after ordering it on Monday, so if you don't get a CTO model, I would expect it in that time frame.
 
Alright so I finally got a tracking update. My iMac is in Lewisberry, PA which is near Harrisburg. So it's in my state, just on the completely opposite end.

Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow, that's the very last day Apple said it could arrive on and it's also FedEx's estimated arrival date.

Hello all,

My wonderful 24" iMac shipped on July 22nd, Tuesday... The Fedex site sucks!! They updated last wednesday saying that package left Sacramento... But there is no update after all.., Estimated delivery says July 26th... Can I expect to receive tomm? I really cant wait any more.... its my first mac and the wait and no fedex updates is killing me 🙁

No updates means that it is on a semi on it's way to your local hub or one close to you. They don't update it's cross country trip since they don't unload that truck and scan the packages.

I don't know where you are in relation to Sacramento, but that's what happened to me. One of the last updates I had gotten was when it was scanned in Reno Nevada on July 18th, then I didn't see an update until it was closer to me when it was unloaded at a hub in Columbus Ohio on the 22nd, then it was delivered to me on the 23rd. Hope that helps ya out. 🙂
