US SIM card for data for iPhone

    I'm going to the US for a couple of weeks and was told this;

    Quote:
    If you have a smartphone I would recommend you to buy a pay as you SIM card with a data plan. I bought one a T-Mobile quite cheap and then you pay around 1.50 USD to use internet as much as you want for 24 hours.

    Does anyone have any experience of this?

    It should work. The one thing to be aware of is that the iPhone on T-Mobile will be EDGE only, they use different frequencies for 3G that are not supported on the iPhone.
