I currently have three different Apple IDs:

    - One from Germany (this is where I'm from originally)
    - One from the UK (this is where I currently live and this is my main Apple ID)
    - One from the US (got this a while ago to buy some music that was only available on the US iTunes store at the time).

Ideally, I'd like to use the UK one for everything, but I really don't think I'll be patient enough to wait until iTunes Match is released in the UK after it gets released in the US. So I might be tempted to use my US account to get iTunes Match… But I'd still like to use my UK account for music etc.

Any thoughts as to if this will somehow be possible or not? Anybody else in a similar boat?

Probably never will be possible. Currently, you can't merge accounts even within a country, but Apple really doesn't approve of having accounts in different countries (despite the many legitimate reasons).

I have a US (where I live) and UK account and have used the Itunes Match beta. I haven't had any problems. You'd just have to use the US account to Match and log into the UK one to purchase. Match ended up matching some songs that aren't available in the US store. It also changed the account name on the songs that I purchased in the UK account to my US account if I re-download them from the cloud. The only thing it won't match is if you have any songs that are still copy protected from the pre-itunes plus days. Though you could probably work around that by burning them to a cd and converting them back to mp3 before you Match. Since it's still a beta those things may change before the official release date.

    Thanks, that's really valuable information.

I presume if you change your App store login to your UK credentials, you'll lose access to your music library in the cloud?

The cloud is connected to your account so if you logged in with your UK account it would disappear until you re-logged into the US account.
