Have you already started? Will you start today? Will you wait until Thanksgiving, or when a local radio station starts playing it?

EDIT: When I say today, I mean November 1st, 2012.
EDIT 2: Perhaps I should have added another option: "When I feel like it. I don't know when that will be."

If the RENT soundtrack is considered Christmas music, I listen to it all year 'round.

Beyond that, I really don't listen to Christmas music. Although I do have a great punk version of Auld Lang Syne that I'll add to a playlist or two.

Not even The Killers Christmas singles!?

No. I don't listen to either and think they're both garbage ;)

What if Katy Perry sang Christmas music? :p

Ha! Right you are! I guess I don't consider them "Christmas Songs" - most of them are on my current playlist.

Maybe I do have enough to put something together!

Yeah, I usually end up listening to them year round too. They'll pop up on my Killers playlists and I never, ever realize it's Christmas music until the song is over.

I hate the fact that its get played earlier and earlier every year. Growing up we had a hard fast rule that no Christmas music until the day after thanksgiving. Also Christmas decoration are not allowed to come out until then.

That is also how I view things. Christmas stuff may come out the day after thanksgiving not before.

I picked the option for before Thanksgiving. I have played a song or two in the past couple weeks when it's gotten fairly cold and felt more like December, but have more or less held off on unchecking all but my Holiday songs in iTunes.

Where's the "when hell freezes over" option? Don't know how anybody can listen to that garbage.

This. I hate how they play it at malls and on the radio for like 2 months. And it's always the same damn songs they've been playing for years... no wait, they'll have some Top40 artist "remix" it. Can't listen to that crap anymore.

I don't. If I hear it on the radio, I'll turn the channel. Sometimes I'll hum or sing christmas songs to myself for the hell of it but I really don't have an interest in listening to them. I was out shopping the other day and I started singing Jingle Bells while I was in line at a store.

I will voluntarily begin listening to Christmas music when hell freezes over!!:(

BAH!

HUMBUG!!

EDIT: Sorry, yg17...I didn't see your post.

I feel like a giant cheeseball, but I love Christmas music. "O Holy Night" is like my kryptonite, I sang it in catholic school choir and literally have never been able to hear it without tears coming.

I also love cheesy stuff like "The 12 Pains of Christmas." The oldies station in Boston always started playing xmas music exclusively on November 1st, and my parents would always play it in the car, so I'll be continuing the tradition. I fully admit I'm a lamer about this, but I love the holidays and all the schlock that goes along with it. :D

I hate Christmas music. Any store that plays it before Thanksgiving gets an instant boycott from me.

Not from US of A, but my GF has been listening to it for about 2 weeks now in her car.

Time to find a new girlfriend.
