I hate Christmas music. Any store that plays it before Thanksgiving gets an instant boycott from me.

If the RENT soundtrack is considered Christmas music, I listen to it all year 'round.

December 24th, 9 PM, Eastern Standard Time. From here on in, I shoot without a script. See if anything comes from it, instead of my old ****.

Pretty sure I can sing along every word of Rent. Saw it live 6 times, got the live Broadway version on DVD and the Rent movie on DVD. If Anthony Rapp does a revival we should see it. ;)

NGL, I love Rent too. I saw it live twice, most recently at the Hollywood Bowl (Nicole Scherzinger killed it). Haven't listened to it in awhile, though, thanks for the reminder. Have you seen 'American Idiot'? I really liked it, and the soundtrack is very good. It's on tour right now, you should see it if you can. It won a bunch of awards on Broadway, if that matters.

Who doesn't like 'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree'? Commies, that's who. :D:p

I can't believe the number of people I know who saw it who hated it. I probably have seen about 12 different broadway shows, and I have seen Rent the most. If you have seen it with Anthony Rapp (Mark Cohen, from the movie) it's way better. The music is mostly Rock, and that alone is entertaining. Worst musical ever is Phantom of the Opera, so boring I fell asleep, so I tried to watch it a second time with a friend who wanted to see it. I fell asleep again. LOL :D

Oh, and I haven't seen "American Idiot", but I think it might be entertaining, I'm an old school Green Day fan. Mostly like their Dookie stuff.

I really haven't been to NYC for stuff like that since the birth of my daughter, almost 2 years ago.

..first shot Roger, tuning the Fender guitar he hasn't played in a year. this won't tune. so we hear!

GREAT. It started playing in my head now.

I was a little sad that the DVD of the broadway production wasn't with Rapp and Pascal. Those two made the show, at least they were in the movie, and I hope they will do it again. They actually came back to broadway and did a few shows before it came off broadway and that DVD was released.

And now, I have the entire broadway soundtrack queued up. I've seen this on tour 10 times. But never on Broadway :(. Closest was the DVD of the last Broadway show on the Nederlander.

Rent is absolutely my favorite Broadway show - I can't count the number of times I've seen it (How did my parents not know I was gay? I have been in love with Idina Menzel since I was like 12). Until it closed, they had $20 college nights and there was a time when we went every week for like 2 months. I was lucky enough to see the original cast a few times on Broadway and when Anthony Rapp & Adam Pascal toured with it a few years ago I saw it here in Houston.

It always reminds me of Christmas. And every Christmas Eve at 9PM EST, my friends and I text the whole first act. Definitely a nerd and a Rent Head. :p

I've also seen American Idiot and that, too, is awesome. It's really the only show that's comparable (at least to me) to Rent in terms of the music. Outside of those 2 shows, I'm not a huge Broadway person. If it's on tour right now, I should check to see if it's coming here. I'd love to see it again.
