I added an Adaptec USB2.0/Firewire card but it caused problems when the computer went to sleep. Is there another brand of USB card that has worked? Any suggestions? Thanks for you help. 😕

Try doing a forum search for 'sleep'. Click to expand... I have a Belkin 3-port Firewire PCI Card in my G4 Tower. It caused the computer to be unable to sleep when I installed it. After installing Tiger, it sleeps. I was going to buy an Adaptec card at Best buy the other day (USB 2.0), but after my experiences, I will get a Belkin from the Apple Store. I'd suggest you do the same, or go visit www.xlr8yourmac.com to see if there are any new compatability reports. Cheers. 🙂
