Hi, I recently purchased a 1.6 SP PowerMac G5 with the PCI slots. Anyway , I had two questions
I purchased a “QNINE Internal USB 2.0 PCI Card, 4 External and 1 Internal, 5 Ports PCI Expansion to USB 2.0 Adapter Hub Controller, High Speed 480Mbps for Desktop” for it and the PowerMac does not boot with it installed into any of the PCI slots. Is there a recommended PCI card for USB 2.0 PowerMac G5 that 100% works? I preferred one with an internal USB port.

Also, is there any IRC client for PowerPC Macs that supports SASL for Freenode? The last Colloquy version for PPC Macs doesn’t support it. XChat Aqua doesn’t seem to either.

Question…

The PowerMac G5 already comes with USB 2.0 ports. Why not just buy a cheap powered USB 2.0 hub and connect it rather than taking up a PCI slot?
