USB 3.0 controller vendor?

I will be using a USB 3.0 device which needs a certain USB controller, and my question is, which controller is it on the retina macbook pro from 2012, base model.

If its Renesas, that would be best.

any help is much appreciated.

Most likely a Broadcom hub. Curious what's the device?
