Resolved USB Audio device - re plug usb....?

I have a USB turntable connected to my Dell Display Hub.
Periodically, when I open GarageBand it doesn't show, so I have to unplug and re-plug to detect it.

Is there a solution to this?
Would connecting direct to Mac USB help?

I think it's a simple hub inside the display so when the display sleeps the usb hub sleeps disconnecting! your best way is get a good USB powered Hub connected to Mac!

I have been waking my Mac, opening GarageBand, THEN turning on the turntable, which seems to send a signal through the USB....😬

Before, I was turning turntable on before opening app.

Confirmed, it works fine now if I turn on the turntable last....👍
