I've been on the road alot lately. Where it would not hurt to top off the battery while in transit....

It's been eon's since I've thought about this as I charge my IP via the usb charger/cig just fine (output 30W over USB C)

Back in the days before USB C, PURE sine wave 120/DC inverters was the recommended route to go when connecting our - bricks- back to ur laptop. Sure this is also the fastest as well, since it would be 2-3X more juice than the 30V car adapter.

Is it -safe- to just charge USB C direct off the auto cig adapter to the MBP ?

Personally would go with a USB-C battery and charge that vs MBP directly via cigarette DC.

Yes, do have power packs on hand. I guess I could just keep 2 in rotation, one for charging MBP, and the other one connected to the cig adapter, and rotate them while -en use-

Be careful about the max output of your USB-C power bank. Few are over 60W, and the MBP really wants more than that. Zendure SuperTank is a 100W pack (which I've measured well over 80 watts output using a 15" MBP - I haven't measured it on the 16" yet, but I suspect it's a true 100W pack) that weighs about a pound, and there are a number of heavier packs, most incorporating AC inverters, that also claim 100W output - I haven't tried those.

Hi, Could you please check if it is possible to charge your MBP 16" from 0% to 100% with the Zendure SuperTank? Thanks!
