I know that this has more then likely come up many of times, but I believe new products are hitting the market all the time.
My question is, I am looking at purchasing a MacBook 12"
I am not a massive fan of having only the USB C port (and only one..)
I am looking at something that can hold a SD card, USB, HDMI, USB C and thunderbolt (not necessary, luxury only)
but I want the adapter to not be a massive dock, rather a portable solution, just as the MacBook is designed to be.
I know OWC have an all in one dock coming out, but for my liking it is too large, and not portable (not to mention rather expensive when you convert and pay for shipping to Australia)
Is there currently a good & also reasonably priced solution that may fit my needs? Or am I completely dreaming?

You aren't going to get anything portable with Thunderbolt/displayport at this point in time. I'm not sure there are even any full-sized docks that have shipped with it yet.
