Looking for a hub or dock with at least DisplayPort, USB, and maybe another USB-C (for charging) Can't seem to find this yet, anyone else?

yes - the key to that link above is "pre-order"

I, too, am finding this frustrating. Surprised it's taking so long to get to market, and seeing things like the popular Hub + drop out of the race is making me more than a little disenchanted with the "pre-order" idea.

"HDMI with 4K display support" is what the OWC states. I'm not sure what that means exactly. Give them a call. They are nice folk.

The only ones that are coming up soon are the Hydradock and microsoft display port (it's designed for their phones but I think it should work for MacBook)

I'm not sure the rMB can push 4K, if it could it wouldn't be at 60hz, especially through hdmi.

I think that Apple never intended for the rMB to be a serious desktop replacement with universal display out functionality. If you really want something that has display out and serious computing power, I think an rMBP is still a better choice, or if you're willing to go Windows, the Surface Pro 4 / Surface Book.

So Apple has not updated the Thunderbolt screen at all and now it refuses to make a solution for people that still own this display and want a MacBook?

That's low Apple, way low... :(
