USB C Hub Overheating

I've now had 3 USB C hubs and all have overheated. Now I've noticed that my internet speed is suffering because of it. The way I found out was I put the hub in the freezer for a few minutes. Before I was getting about 300 MBPS. When I reconnected it I got over 900 MBPS again.

Can anyone suggest a USB C hub that doesn't heat up? Maybe one that's powered? I only plug a monitor (HDMI) and an ethernet cable into it.

Ive just taken a look at the new CalDigit USB-C Pro Dock. Seems to be performing really well for me so far.....

How much did you pay for it? I’m seeing 199 on Amazon. Might be a bit of overkill for my needs. I have another hub for USB.
