USB-c hub with detachable cable?

Does anyone know any good usb c hub with detachable cable? Pretty much all hubs I see have a very short cable, which isn’t good since I’m planning to hide the hub under the desk.

Do you mean just USB-c to USB-a hub or a “dock” type device with USB, Ethernet, hdmi/dp etc?

I had the same problem and I couldn’t find one. For whatever reason it does not seem to exist. The same goes for a USB C extension cable. It is really weird.

I see USB C extension cables listed on Amazon and Walmart.

I am using one of these i-tec hubs to allow easy switching of peripherals between my Hackintosh and my wife's work (Windows laptop). Not cheap but works really well. All cables are detachable and works on USB-3 or Thunderbolt. They do other ones if you don't need 2x4k output...

Did you try it with a longer 1 meter cable? Regular or extension. Which brand? And did it work (speed, 4K, PD)?
