Maybe just copy/paste this:

...Apple will likely bury their heads in the sand and ignore everyone, as per usual, leaving us all wondering why the sales info is wrong! But worth a try.
Looks like they updated the pages today. The new USB-C devices are now saying they require macOS 15.1 or iPadOS 18.1.

It's still not completely accurate though. They are still listing non-Apple Silicon Macs and a bunch of devices that can't even be updated to macOS 15.1 / iPadOS 18.1.

They really dropped the ball on their product pages.

Hasn't this always sort of been the case? Magic trackpad 2 does not work on 10.9 for instance. It very well could, it's just apple being lazy and not wanting to implement a fallback mode that sends the MT1 frame format.

Failed to do the trackpad though, as of now still wrong!: 🤦

...but then the US page version of the trackpad has been corrected?! Someone's not been doing their job properly, clearly:

Just bought a new usb-c Magic Mouse. I was still using the old battery version. I have a M1 MacBook Pro and Sequoia 15.0.1 and it didn't scroll, even after a reboot. Updated to 15.1 fixed it.

The idea that using something as basic as a mouse scroll requires an upgrade to a specific version of the operating system is crazy.

Apple has been successively lowering the quality of its products over the years, which was never based on purely technical solutions, but on understanding the needs of the user. This has often involved various unpleasant compromises, but it has never been as stupid as it is now.
It is impossible to say anything about this stupidity in a cultured way.

Ok it's super dumb, but Apple has been doing this for 20 years now. Go back and look at system requirements for the original Magic Trackpad, Magic Mouse, even back to the early Bluetooth keyboard and Mighty Mouse.
