They have sold a lot of that particular part and reviews for it on the first page at least don't seem to raise any flags. Pay with Paypal and if it's not legit and they give you a hard time you'll get your money back eventually.

Thanks I actually did the same thing and read through their recent feedback, saw several good reviews of the adapter so I pulled the trigger.

Also, I dont think anyone else has fully figured out a USB-C hub/dock/adapter with pass-thru charging/data/and display (I was under the impression that was the holdup with all the 3rd party docks), so I guess if it works, its probably authentic!

Anyway, bump for a good deal!

EDIT: there do appear to be some 3rd party multiport adapter copycats on amazon, not counterfeit, but just similar design. So I guess that is an option also.

It took most of a year but they are finally coming out.

The Anker one looks good, but the only thing it really offers over the Apple model is that additional USB port and slightly lower price. I want more! I want a single hub similar to that size with charging, 2 usb-a, ethernet, and hdmi or displayport. Then it will be a true all-in-one dock. And please make the integrated cord detachable so we can choose how far away to place the hub from the device!

I hear you. I have the Caldigit Thunderbolt hub for Macbook Pro 2011 and it allowed me to have one cord(apart from power) to plug into laptop instead of 3-5 cables (ethernet, firewire 800/usb 3 drive on firewire 800 port since mbp only had usb 2, printer/card reader/scanner/or laptop fan cooler on both usb 2 ports, and cable for display.

Great thing about caldigit is it allowed me to use attached seagate thunderbolt dock to have a dual display on the macbook. I am running dual display off macbook pro on NEC 27" and Dell 24" laptop which is amazing! I keep my main desktop clean and all the folders/links/files on the second display.

I would love to have the same with the macbook 12".
