Hello guys,

I have a mba 2012 with a broken thunderbolt port, if i use some adapter to adapt the USB-C - HDMI adapter to A commom usb port, is there any chance to use it on a external monitor?

Thanks in advance!

Won't work. Normal USB ports don't carry the video signal. Remember the USB-C to HDMI adapter is an adapter so what it is doing is converting the output of one socket (which in the case of the MacBook I have does include a video signal) to be compatible with the input of another socket. Even if you adapt the sockets to fit on the USB-A port on the MBA the machine isn't sending video to that port so it won't have anything to adapt.
