Interesting that none of my usb C to lightning third party cables are working with the 11 pro. They all were working on my XR and XS. This seems like maybe there are more restrictions being put on cables, or the tech has changed a bit. Only apple's supplied cable seems to be working even though the others were certified cables by apple.

Considering that the USB-C/Lighting cables only became available earlier this year, well within the warranty period of the brands that sell them, I'd first inquire with support before buying any new replacements.

A case could be made than an MFi cable should work with any Apple device, including those introduced just months after the cables became available. Otherwise, that certification loses its meaning.

Can't hurt to ask; they may just replace them. At the very least, it calls attention to a potential issue.

Surprising that MFI cables wouldn't work unless manufacturer lied about their certification.

Oh no, I just ordered a Nomad Kevlar usb-c to lightning cable and it should be here Tuesday. Hopefully it works or it’ll go right back.

I bought my Metrans USB C to Lighting cables in December 2017. They worked very fast with my Anker 30 watt power delivery chargers at first, then at some point (iOS 12 maybe?)Apple changed something and they no longer worked at the fastest speed for the phones. So, in spite of them claiming MFi, it appears they were lying. I can’t find them around anymore, so maybe that’s why. Not a huge deal, but seems kind of crappy to suddenly stop them working altogether.

So, does an Anker MFI certified UBS-C to lightning cable NOT work to provide fast charging at leass?

MFI certification is no guarantee that every cable will work properly. I've purchased 4 different Mifi certified lightning cables from a prominent 3rd party manufacturer and ALL of them failed early. The plug geometry wasn't exactly the same. Slightly looser fit. Error warnings
