I’m curious if there is any speed advantage charging an Apple Watch with the USB-C cords versus the original A ones?

no
people have tested, if I remember the watch tops out at about 3 watts when charging, meaning, even the 5w charger that used to come with phones is providing more power than the watch will use.

The USB-C cable is just about convenience, So you can use one charger for your laptop, phone, and watch, without having to use a standard USB-A charger.

There was also a question a few weeks back about whether Gen 1 Apple Watch pucks charge faster/slower than the more recent ones (they’re thicker if you look at them side on). I’ll need to get them tested soon...

Yea I still have my original cable that was a thousand feet long and made of plastic lol - I do have newer pucks - curious if there is a difference
