USB car interface popping audio.

I just installed a brand new Kenwood headunit in my car.

My IPod nano and flash drive both play just fine..

My iPhone 4 plays but the audio pops and snaps at random intervals...

However, if I plug my phone via Aux, the audio sounds great...
