USB Card for MDD???

I'm trying to find a USB controller for a 1.25 MDD on the cheap. I have a generic in right now, it shows up under system profiler but nothing happens when I plug anything in. The device powers on, but nothing happens in OSX.

Any ideas?

You're either gonna have to find a Mac driver for that particular card, or get a card that has the same chipset that Apple uses with their native USB bus.

Bought a Sonnet Allegro 5 Port USB 2.0 High Speed PCI Card for my G4 Sawtooth. Also used it in a 733 Quicksilver for a time. No issues with either, worked well. Used it to run a wireless G adapter that needed USB 2.0 and had an old 60GB 2.5" HDD in an enclosure running from the internal that I just set inside the G4 case. Got mine from http://www.welovemacs.com, arrived relatively quickly and packed nicely along with a new speaker cover for the Quicksilver.

way cheaper than most others & no drivers needed....they are built into OS X 😛
