So i just bought the B&W MM-1 Speakers. And they sound great of course. Just something weird. I noticed when listening to Itunes with the speakers plugged into the USB input the comp sits at about 44-45C with nothing else open. Then ill unplug the USB cable and use the internal speakers and the temp drops to about 39C slowly 😛 Why would USB inputed speakers cause the comp to run 5C hotter when listening to music lol. I checked the CPU usage on Itunes and its about the same cpu usage when unplugged and plugged in. Any idea haha?

Edit: I just discovered this. Actually when they are plugged in Itunes uses about 2-3%cpu usage in activity monitor and kernal task is sitting at about 7-12%. when i unplug the speakers Itunes goes up to about 11% and kernal task drops to about 1%. HahaHa. this is not a big deal but im so confused also lol

if the USB cable has to provide power to the speakers, then the increased amount of power usage will produce more heat.
