I was searching the forum for some recommendations on a good USB thumbdrive for the Macbook, and everything seems to be a bit old.

I'm looking for a device that is fast, and I am looking for one that does not block the other USB port while inserted.

What is everyone using out there?

I use a 4GB PNY Attahce USB 2.0 drive. It costs 11 quids delivered from Play.com (http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/4998407/PNY-Attache-4GB-USB-2-0-Capless-Flash-Drive/Product.html). Works great, plus there's no need to worry about losing the cap.

For my small docs (Word docs, a song or two, images etc.) I use a little Imation 512MB flash drive I got for Christmas.

It's amazingly easy to use and it has never been anything but useful.

For bigger stuff I have a 120gig external drive but that's MOSTLY stationary.

Also check out the SanDisk Cruzer Micro if space is at a premium; these are not much wider than the USB port itself!
