Hi, my problem is:

When I connect my ipod or camera to my macbook USB ports they do not come up in itunes or iphoto, there is no recognition that they are plugged in at all, except I have checked on the system profiler and the ipod comes up under USB High speed Bus. However, when I plug my iphone in, everything works as normal. (I have tried using the same cable and tried both ports, so it's nothing like that!) Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks

Does it matter which port you use? Or do all of them produce the same result?

If it's a mixed bag, you can try reinstalling your OS. An Archive and Install while preserving user data would be sufficient, to reinstall the base system files/drivers for the USB. After that, if they still produce strange results, it qwould most likely be related to your logic board.
