    HI there

Find it a bind that the iMac does not have readily accessible USB ports. They are on the back but in my situation to turn the monitor round is a bind. Bought a small USB hub but this does not seem to work with half the devices I want to connect.
Anyone any ideas or suggestions to buy a hub that will work with all devices. e.g iPhone etc.
    Any tried and tested??

    Cheers

    Phil

Since I've got an Airport Extreme on my desk, I ordered the Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub for Mac Mini (model # F5U264). It's powered, so it should work with all USB devices, and it's the same size and look as the Airport Extreme.

Another option is to use the wired keyboard, which has two USB ports.

I was thinking the keyboard would be great too but they are USB 1.0 so only for small transfers from a jump drive

Another vote for Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub. I have it since 2006, it does what it's supposed to do. While my mini is long gone, it still fits perfectly with Airport Extreme.

    That's what I use.

I suggest searching, you might find some other good advice.

Every USB hub will do, just make sure that it has its own power supply. Otherwise you might run into trouble when it's trying to pull too much power from the USB port it's connected to.

OP, whatever you get, make sure the USB-Hub comes with a power source.
    I use a Trust HU-5440, which I really like.

The Apple web site describes the current wired Apple keyboards: "...And two USB 2.0 ports enable you to connect your mouse as well as a high-speed peripheral such as a digital camera or printer."

They could have low-power issues, though.
