This is, I hope, a minor complaint, but an annoyance nonetheless - when I insert my brand new, shiny, nice 1.0 GB SanDisk cruzer (the kind with the slide-out USB port and the "U3" packaging), my computer prompts me as if I've inserted a blank CD-R. Why is this? It's not a huge inconvenience - I just click "ignore" and go on as normal, and the drive works just fine, just as it should. But this is really annoying to me. I first thought it was an issue with the pre-packaged software on the drive, so I erased all of the software. No luck. So I formatted the drive and popped it back in. Still no luck. This drive makes the same message pop up on my wife's iBook, which no other USB key does. Anyone have any idea what's going on, or is this just one of those strange things I'll just deal with?
its because the u3 tries to install itself on your computer but it is windows only...so it tries to go through the autosetup but cannot continue since it cannot open the .exe
