So I have a USB Blue Yeti and on my windows 7 machine there is slight delay when recording in adobe audition.

I am curious if anybody has one of these mics or something similar and records on a Mac, is there any delay in recording while hearing the playback of music? Im thinking maybe it's just that the mic is USB but this model has gotten good reviews....I'm thinking it's my machine.

You control the delay in the app itself. It is in the buffer settings. The higher the buffer the more latency. The lower the buffer the harder your CPU has to work to keep up in real time. PLay around. Unfortunately those USB "mics" only direct connect to the internal sound card. So you are limited in speed and functionality. For best results I'd get something more suited to recording like a MOTU Ultralight or if on a budget whatever is on sale at Guitar Center or something. The USB things are best for like voice overs and low quality content.
