I use the Edirol PCR30 keyboard. For me its more of a midi controller than a keyboard, it is not a full keyboard either, you have to press a button to raise the scale.


garageband is very easy to use for a beginner, and is rather powerful for what it is. the next step is Soundtrack, Logic, or Pro Tools.
