Hello, I just recently moved to the Apple family from PC, and I decided to plug in my old USB wireless mouse that I used with my laptop. The left/right buttons and the scroll wheel (and the button) work perfectly fine. The mouse itself has two additional buttons that used to work as back/forward button in chrome. But on my Air, they don't seem to function. Is there an option to enable them somehow?

Thanks for the help

What brand and model mouse is it? Does it have its own software to enable the advanced features? Most Logitech mice have the Logitech Control Center, which enables activation and customization of the extra buttons, but you need to install the software to use it.

You can also check under System Preferences>Mouse. If nothing additional there, the mouse will require its own software as GGJstudios stated.
