I'm trying to figure out whether it's possible to use a USB mouse on an iPad. There is a variety conflicting info on the Apple boards and elsewhere - some folks say it won't work, others say it does, and I've found at least one video purportedly showing it, though not from a current release of iOS.

So basically my question is for anybody who has an iPad running 9.x or 10.0, and a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter - if you hook up a USB mouse to it, does it do anything? Thanks!

Without jailbreaking you cannot use a USB mouse with the iPad (running ANY version of iOS).

2 specific mice ARE supported by very specific remote desktop applications however. I'm using Jump Desktop with the Citrix X1 mouse to remotely connect to my iMac (from my 12.9 iPad Pro) and am able to fully use the mouse and Apple Smart Keyboard as if I was sitting in front of my iMac.
