A post for anyone using USB Overdrive with Golden Gate.

I was having trouble getting USB Overdrive to open at login. It would open, but would put up a msg stating that no extension was found, and I couldn't control either the mouse or keyboard.

The solution seems to be this:
Go to System Settings -> Login Items
Check to see that the USB Overdrive (app) and USB OverdriveHelper (app) are in the "open at login" list (near the top).
Now, scroll down towards the bottom, to the "Extensions" area.
Be sure you have clicked "By App".
Scroll down almost all the way to the bottom to the USB Overdrive driver extension.
You need to click the "i" in the circle on the right.

Move the switch to the right to activate the driver extension.

Password will be required.
Close System Settings, you may need to reboot at this point.

Hope this helps.
