Dear All,
I have an eMac running OSX (10.3.9). For a few days now it has started to hang (crashes and loses the pointer, can only restart using crtl-apple-power) whenever I add or remove any USB device (or even something as simple as earphones via the earphone jack). Have tried resetting P-RAM but problem still persists. Also tried booting in safe-mode, but again as soon as I add in a usb device or remove one it crashes. After the crash it usually takes two attempts to restart (ie I do the crtl-apple-power trick, hear a bong and the screen stays blank with no startup screen, do the crtl-apple-power keys again and it starts up). Any ideas?
