USB port issue

I noticed today there appears to be some small metal strips hanging down inside my left USB port above the connector. This isn't in the right port. This isn't bent USB pins but pieces of casing etc. I noticed it after using a USB drive. The port still works but I'm concerned. I tried to take a photo but couldn't get a decent one to illustrate.

Anyone had similar? Any idea how/if this can be sorted?

Have you ever yanked out your usb, or dropped your air while your usb was in it

I've never dropped it but it's possible I pulled a USB out carelessly before.
