Hi
I've been using my USB keyboard on the right side USB port on my MacBook Pro Retina early 2013 whilst in Asia for some time. I flew back to Thialand today and now when I boot my Macbook up and try using the USB keyboard the Shift Lock light is on permanently and the keyboard won't work. Its been ok for years until today.

I've tried other USB devices in that port and none work. The left side USB works fine.

I've tried this:

Shut down the Mac and connect the power cable. Hold down Shift+Control+Option+Power concurrently for a few seconds, when the light on the power adapter blinks or changes colors you'll know SMC reset is complete. Release all keys at the same time. Boot theMacBook Pro

But when I try this my adapter doesn't blink or change colour...

I really don't know how to test the USP port further....
Any suggestions or tips please?

Many thanks
Peter
