Just wanted to ask if a little bit of wiggle of the usb ports is acceptable? Sliding in drives and cables is a much smoother experience as compared to my windows laptop. With my windows laptop, I can feel a substantial click when plugging in USB drives or cables. With my air, its a slight lock at the end but not extremely tactile.

The usb ports of the air dont seem to have clips that lock the adapters in. The ports of airs here have rollers type of arrangement at the bottom - https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipe...card_slot,_USB_3.0_port,_Thunderbolt_port.jpg

Unlike these prongs you see at the bottom of other ports - https://c8.alamy.com/comp/CBF175/closeup-of-two-usb-ports-on-the-side-of-a-black-laptop-CBF175.jpg

Is plugging and unplugging supposed to be smooth without a click on the air or I have a lemon?

Your experience is the same as mine on my 2017 MBA... and my 2014 MBA before that. I think it is normal.
