Anyone has bought one of these?

I'm afraid that they are cheap counterfeits, that would catch fire like the first models (without the green dot) did. However at 2$ the deal seems too good to be true, and I guess it's not that expensive to produce, hence the availability on ebay.

What makes me suspect that it could be a cheap knockoff is that there are lots of others (this one, for example) that sell the exact same, using the same exact photo (coming most probably from Apple). They all seem to have good ratings, however.

    Any opinions?

Its undoubtably a Chinese knock-off. Whether its a good knockoff is difficult to tell for sure. Its up to you to decide whether to take the risk.

The original 3G USB chargers never caught fire. They where recalled because the plug pins would detach in the outlet.

Now that you say it, I remember. The problem was that the pin could get stuck in the outlet, causing electrocution risks.
