I have just found my first complaint/problem with my MBP..

I'm trying to sort out files between 2 flash drives, but I can only recognise 1 drive at a time!
One is 1GB and the other is 4GB.
When I connect either of them by themselves, they work completely fine. But when I connect both (doesn't matter which order) then only 1 gets recognised.

I'm wondering if this is an actual problem - defective? Or is this normal? Anyone else experience this?

Thanks.

How are you plugging in two at the same time? No flash drives I have will fit side by side on my 2010 MBP because of apple having to put them so damn close together.

That's another thing that annoys me: the bloody ports are so close together!

I used an extension cable, it's like 30cm long, for one of the ports whilst another drive fits directly into the port.

The extension cable might be bad, does two of anything work together? Like a mouse and usb drive or printer and usb drive?

The cable is fine.

Ok, i rebooted my mbp, and everything seems to be fine now...

any idea what happened?
