I am looking to ditch my old PC desktop and now I need a good USB hub for connecting all my external gear to my MBP.

So, I am looking for some recomendation on good USB hub.

The thing will just be on the floor behind my desk, so design/looks it not really a requirement.

I will for sure need minimum 4 ports for:

    Keyboard
    Mouse
    Webcam
card reader (buildt into Dell monitor)

Possible external powered 3.5" USB disk.

Right now at the top of my list is the Kensington Dome USB hub - it has 7 ports and in alu mac colours. It is supposed to be heavy too, so that it will not skid around.

I am of cause open to hearing other suggestions.

I've used D-Links powered 7-port hub with no problems. Plugged into it is:
    • Cable to printer
    • Cable to USB Mixer
    • iPod USB Cable for iPhone
    • Receiver for Logitech MX Revolution
    • USB to Mini-USB for Camera

Occasionally I'll put a flash drive in there as well with no problems.
