Hello everyone!
I'm facing an interesting dilema. I want to have a remote control for my PowerBook inorder to control iTunes or DVD Player when it's hooked to my entertainment center, or to control Keynote when making presentations. I've found several links, such as this one, that show how to make a USB IR receiver that can be used with any 'universal' remote control, but they are all geared toward Windows when it comes to the software drivers for these receivers. I know that Keyspan offers this remote that is Mac compatible, but it's neither challenging and it's a little on the expensive side.
So, here's the question: Does anyone out there know of a basic input device driver for OS X that would allow me to configure the input from a remote coming from one of these home-made receivers? (Yes, I know that I could dig into cocoa and figure out how to write a driver, but I'm not sure I'm feeling that ambitious at the moment...)
Thanks!!
