I don't know why you wouldn't trust either of those brands... both very reputable. Especially Edirol - it's owned and managed by Roland.

Or M-Audio for that matter, they're owned by Digidesign...Pro Tools anyone?

Toneport (they changed the name to 'Pod Studio' now though)? I own a UX2 and am planning on switching it from my default soundcard at the minute to be used on my MBP when it comes.
