USB spare cable - 3g iphone

Get fed up of having to go around the back of my PC to connect my iPhone.

Anyone know the cheapest place to get a spare USB cable for a 3G iPhone ?

I heard that the old iPhone USB cable does not fit into the 3G iPhone can anyone confirm this ?

USB cable still works, it's only the dock from the old iPhone that doesn't fit the 3G.

I bought my extra 3G cable at Wal-Mart, it was expensive $19.99 but its an OEM Apple part.

The sad part is when I exchanged my iPhone yesterday the Apple guy gave me the cable, power plug and earphones out of the new box even though I never brought the old ones in. Too bad I don't still have the box for the one I bought at Wal-Mart. Now I have 3 sync cables...

Could easily get the USB cable, car adapter and wall adapter on eBay for $10.

I bought a retractable cable from monoprice for $1.38 and it works just fine. The wire is a little thin since it's retractable but I'm pretty satisfied for how cheap it was and how fast they shipped it to me. I also ordered a USB extension cable to plug into my AC adapter so I could reach my bedstand where I normally keep my phone at night.
