    Hi all,

Received some files from a work colleague on a USB stick, and backed them up to my Lacie external drive. Thereafter, every time I double click the drive, the window opens for a split second and then crashes, thus restricting me from getting into the drive.

Luckily, the only workaround I have is to access the files on my external via column view, as it seems to be OK, but in icon and List view, the window simply shuts down. This error/problem is carried over to any subsequent drives I copy the files onto, thus corrupting them too. It's strange as I ran Disk Utility on these externals and the reports says they are fine... No idea what could be wrong... Any help muchly appreciated

maybe try resaving the files - could be an unfriendly file icon that causes glitches.
