usb stick in front usb of mac pro

why is my mac pro not seeing my usb stick plugged into the front usb opening of my mac pro?

it is a pearl mp3 player/usb data stick!!

any help?

If you have an app in the mac allowing macs to read and write to ntfs drives then then the mac can read and write to any ntfs disk, i have one of those apps,

but for some reason on the 2 front usb ports the computer does not come up showing any item when something is plugged into them


not sure if it shows up in the back ones? have not tried them yet.

Could it be a power thing for the front usb bus?

it is set to see all drives, but not sure about the power thing for the front usb's?
